Meet Hayley

Proper food for real life

From a phone camera in my kitchen to Sunday Times bestselling shelves — here's how it all happened.

I never set out to write cookbooks. I just wanted to help people get dinner on the table.

Ten years ago I started sharing the meals I cooked for my own family — nothing fancy, no fuss, just food that worked on a busy weeknight. People cooked along, sent me photos of their plates, and slowly it turned into something I could never have imagined.

Four books, a Sunday Times bestseller and a community of hundreds of thousands of home cooks later, the mission hasn't changed one bit: proper food, made for real life.

The best recipes aren't the cleverest ones — they're the ones people actually cook, again and again.
